Vinings Cochise Drive Rebuilds After the Flood
Posted by Brian Sims on Monday, May 24th, 2010 at 4:45pm.It only takes a brief stroll down Cochise Drive to see how last year's floods have affected some of Vinings' most coveted properties along the Chattahoochee. Construction crews and signs of renovation line the driveways as many home owners have begun to rebuild.

Some have taken the approach of many beach home owners and elevated their properties on high foundations above the ground. Others have simply decided to sell for the lot value and a few were fortunate enough to live on upper Cochise, high above the flood plain toward Vinings Jubilee.
As I noted in last week's blog about home values in Vinings, now is an excellent time to purchase Vinings Real Estate and riverfront property is no exception. The pendulum has begun to swing and prices are on the rise, but a word of caution though before the waters rise again. Either buy on high ground or learn from the past and build an elevated foundation.
Cochise Drive will continue to be a coveted riverfront address and with a few wise choices you can protect this excellent investment. If you are looking to purchase property in Vinings, please feel free to contact us at the Hirsh Real Estate Group.
