Yes, I did title this post in the third person. Last week the Atlanta Business Chronicle wrote a glowing half-page article about my work in Atlanta real estate over the past 8+ years. It certainly is a positive piece, highlighting the importance of trust between a Realtor and their clients.
Thanks to ABC for the great coverage and to my clients who were interviewed for the story! See the full article below:
Buckhead Luxury Homes - 2010 in Review
Friday, January 21st, 2011 at 3:49pm. 582 Views, 1 Comments.
At the moment there are approximately 311 Buckhead luxury homes for sale priced at $1 Million and above. The average asking price of these 300+ Buckhead homes is $2.6 Million, with the highest priced at $19 Million!
During 2010, 158 homes in Buckhead changed hands above the $1Million mark. This indicates that there is a 2-year supply of homes in this price range.
Digging further into these details, it is clear that the extreme high-end of the market ($6 Million and up) lacks any serious market demand. The chart below shows that the average sale price was just $1.5 Million.

Looking For An Atlanta Realtor?
Wednesday, December 15th, 2010 at 4:49pm. 573 Views, 1 Comments.
If you are buying a home in the Atlanta area then you need an Atlanta Realtor representing you. I get calls almost daily from buyers who seem slightly confused about the process. Many do not realize that our services as buyers agents come at no charge to them. We simply split the commission with the listing agent to get compensated for our services.
As your Realtor it is our job to represent your financial interests throughout the process. We don't just help you locate the perfect home for sale in Atlanta, we actually walk with you every step of the way throughout the buying process.
Even if you are purchasing your fifth home and you think you know it all, trust me, you don't! I personally have worked with buyers and sellers in 2010 to successfully…
Historic Buckhead Home Painted Orange; Makes Neighbors See Red

I was recently contacted by Josie Gulliksen who is a writer for AOL's real estate section. She wanted to interview a Buckhead Realtor and she had found me through the Buckhead Real Estate area of our website. Josie informed me that there was a historic home on West Wesley Road that had just been painted bright orange by it's respectable, but apparently eccentric, owner.
The owner is a former antique dealer and his intention was to have an aged terra-cotta look, but the home is as orange as any you have ever seen.
The article quotes me as saying
"I would be quite upset if any of my neighbors decided to paint their homes such a hideous color, but I have to stop short of saying that we should legislate or regulate the color that people in…

In fundraising circles they call that special moment at the end of the evening when they implore you to reach deep into your wallet "The Big Ask". I am sure you have experienced that moment, but I want to ask you for something that will benefit both of us: the opportunity to represent you. If you are buying or selling a home in Buckhead, then you need the best possible representation from a Realtor who knows Buckhead inside and out, and I am your guy. In addition to being a Buckhead "Specialist" Realtor, I own the #1 Buckhead real estate website, I also write and manage Buckhead's top real estate blog . If you are a home buyer in Buckhead, then I can use my knowledge of the area to guide you to the right neighborhood, the best street, and the perfect…
Paramount At Buckhead Condos

Just up the street from Lenox mall, a small street called Stratford takes you a few hundred feet West from Peachtree Street to the Paramount at Buckhead condo building. Rising 40 stories into the Buckhead Skyline, the Paramount at Buckhead condos feature 10-foot ceilings and unique interior finishes. Floorplans there tend to be larger than most other high-rise condos in Buckhead.
I was showing property there to one of my clients recently and what really got my attention, were the neighbors....good neighbors. In fact directly next door is the Mansion on Peachtree where there was a recent sale for nearly $10 million. Even though the Mansion on Peachtree has struggled to sell in the current market conditions, it will undoubtedly maintain a very high…

Terminus Condos in Buckhead has started an incredible promotion to sell the remaining new luxury condos that they have at the corner of Peachtree and Piedmont!
They have reduced three bedroom residences all the way down to the $400's and have dropped all two bedrooms at Terminus by $200,000! 1 Bedrooms currently start at $239,000.

A Friend Of A Friend's Uncle

I recently spoke with a new website user who is looking to buy a home in Buckhead. He had been very actively using the tools on this website to search all of the homes for sale in Buckhead and educate himself about where all of the Buckhead neighborhoods are. In the course of the conversation he let me know that he had already met with a part-time real estate agent who was a friend of a friend. It was clear that he was uncomfortable with the situation since this agent that he had met with did not know the buckhead real estate market well, even though he seemed to be a nice, smart individual. When you are looking to spend the largest amount of money that you have ever spent, you should accept nothing less than a real estate broker like myself who…
