North Buckhead French Estate Foreclosure
Posted by Ben Hirsh on Tuesday, January 12th, 2010 at 1:12pm.For the builder that constructed this French Country Estate in Buckhead, it is a story that would rather be forgotten. But, for the savvy buyer it is an opportunity. This home was finished at the end of 2007 and placed on the market for $1.6 million. The cost of construction to build this unique home was over 1.2 million. With 5100 square feet of finished space plus an unfinished terrace level and garage apartment, the home provided plenty of spcae with room for future expansion to around 8000 square feet. [gallery link="file" orderby="rand"] The home was constructed with fine materials: Hardcoat Stucco, Cedar Shake Roof, 3 car garage, Viking Kitchen, Herringbone wood in the foyer, and Ralph Lauren Lighting. The spacious bedrooms and fabulous location in the neighborhood of North Buckhead would be enough to attract many interested buyers. But at $1.6 million it did not. With deteriorating market conditions, price drops were not enough to get a sale and the property was foreclosed on by BB&T at the end of 2009. Now this home is available again as a foreclosure at a great price of $970,000 with room for potential negotiations.
