Luxury Home Sales Double in Smyrna
Posted by Brian Sims on Friday, September 24th, 2010 at 12:55pm.As we enter the first few days of Fall, a look back at Summer home sales in Smyrna shows some interesting statistics. Luxury homes are beginning to sell at a higher rate than in previous months. In fact, the number of homes sold over $500,000 more than doubled this Summer as compared to Spring. This occured as the market saw an overall drop of 21% during the same period.
Even Hines Ward of the Pittsburgh Steelers sold his estate in Cash Farms this summer, the most expensive sale so far this year in Smyrna.

While these numbers might seem somewhat counter-intuitive, the answer appears quite simple to me. Those who have money, recognize now is the time to buy or sell and they are acting appropriately while the opportunity lasts.
Those who lose some money on the sale of their current home often realize the opportunity to make up for the difference on their next purchase. For instance, if a home owner loses 10% on a $250,000 sale but gets the same discount on a $500,000 purchase, they still come out ahead by $25,000 and have doubled the size of their home, not to mention the likelihood of a much better interest rate than they had before.
If you can afford to buy or sell, now is the time to take advantage of the opportunity. Please feel free to contact us any time for a free consultation. We would welcome the opportunity to earn your business and use our expertise in this market to help you benefit most from the current bargains.

It seems to be a nice estate and the environment seems to be congenial also.
Thanks for the information.
