Spring is here!

Wednesday, March 28th, 2012 at 3:01pm. 156 Views, 0 Comments.

Spring is here and it is time to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather.  Instead of just cutting the grass or pulling weeds how about finally visiting those houses you have been eyeing for so long?  I have found an incredible deal that offers amazing amenities.  You could enjoy the luxury of living in a Golf and Country Club neighborhood.  Not only that, this neighborhood also offers a playground and a swimming pool.  Woodmont Golf and Country Club is a great community for all ages.  This house offers a large kitchen and a bonus room on the third floor.  It is definitely worth your time to take a look.

A New Line Is Drawn For Schools

Monday, January 30th, 2012 at 3:18pm. 151 Views, 0 Comments.

One of the biggest topics of discussion right now in Atlanta is the redistricting of the public schools.   It has caught some people by surprise and others were expecting the issue.  There are a number of great public schools in the Atlanta area.  This combined with it being such a great time to buy a house in these areas as well as other areas of Atlanta it has put an increased demand on a few of these schools.  Not to worry though.  The Atlanta Public School board is meeting to fix the issue.  In fact one of the solutions may include building a brand new elementary school very close to Buckhead!  As of today there are two options on the table that the Atlanta Public School board is deciding between and from the people that I…

An Incredible Deal In Buckhead

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012 at 4:50pm. 231 Views, 0 Comments.

There are a number of incredible houses on the market today.  One in particular that I found is located in a very desirable part of Buckhead.  This house has great views of Memorial Park, is located in an incredible school district and the price has just been drastically reduced.  People ask me all the time to find their dream house in their dream location.  The only question can be the price.  Not with this house.  This house is definitely in a dream location and has an incredible price.  Located at 2487 Howell Mill Road, this could very easily be your dream house!

The mortage rates continue to be absolutely incredible.  Today the rate for a 30 year fixed is 4.085% and 3.405% for a 15 year fixed.  It definitely…

New Year's Resolution

I hope everyone had a good holiday.  In this last week before the new year begins many people try to come up with a new year's resolution.  One to definitely consider is to finally take advantage of this buyer's market before it is over.  The interest rates have continued to stay low and there are still amazing deals.  For example, this house in Marietta Country Club has just had a drastic reduction in price.  It has amazing details, an incredible kitchen and a spectacular yard.  This is definitely worth taking a look.

Don't let that tryptophan get you down!

Kevin

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family.  Now that we have all filled our stomachs with turkey and dressing and watched our teams hopefully win their big rivalry game it's time to get serious about that house hunt.  I know this month can get a little hectic, but it can be a great time to take a day and look at houses.  There are so many beautiful houses around Atlanta and just think they will have all of their gorgeous decorations right now.  You can see them at their best!  These are just a couple that I found that are great deals:

The first one is located in Alpharetta in the beautiful Hermitage subdivision.  It has approximately 1 acre and an incredible master suite.  This house is absolutely…

Atlanta Food Trucks - Get in on the Fun!

Wednesday, November 16th, 2011 at 3:18pm. 156 Views, 0 Comments.

Atlanta has so much to offer, and even though I have lived here for quite a while, I am still discovering new things all the time.  One of my friends introduced me to a growing phenomenom - food trucks.  If you have not yet seen a food truck, I am sure you will soon.  A food truck isn't anything like a hot dog stand, which may be what you're picturing. Rather, it looks like a small winnebago with a giant opening on the side - where you order and receive food - and a full kitchen in back.

Each truck specializes in a specific type of food.  For example, there may be a panini truck or taco truck and so on. Food trucks featuring BBQ food are very popular. Food trucks have quickly taken over the dining and social scene in popular neighborhoods like…

602 Berne Street in Atlanta

Monday, February 14th, 2011 at 4:38pm. 315 Views, 0 Comments.

I get excited about this time of year. A lot of it has to do with the warm weather and the longer days. If I'm hiding i'm usually on the golf course. Spring is also a good time to buy or sell a home, in fact a high percentage of the real estate sold is with in the first 5 months of the year. This year is no exception 2011 is projected to be a great year.

One great place that I like is Grant Park on the east side of Atlanta off HWY 20. Grant Park is community that has come alive in the past few years. Great restaurants, the Zoo, and the park are just a short walk away.  Homes range from a small bungalow to a craftsman style home usually priced from the $150's to the high $400's. Most of the homes are over 50 years old and have tons of…

Historic Marietta

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011 at 10:44am. 590 Views, 0 Comments.

When I think of attractive spots to live around Atlanta one of the first places that come to mind is Marietta. The history of this city dates back before Atlanta and Chattanooga. In fact  what first started Marietta was a small cluster of homes near Kennesaw Mountain in 1824. This really began to grow after Western and Atlantic Railroad decided to build a railroad right by Kennesaw Mountain in the early 1830's. Businesses popped up everywhere after the railroad started its route from Chattanooga to Adairsville.  Marietta has more history than some cities will have in their whole lifetime. Today, the city of Marietta has a strong commitment to keeping the history of the last 200 years special.

Here area few pictures of the Marietta Square:

Land in Buckhead

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011 at 10:31am. 265 Views, 0 Comments.

Driving through Buckhead you'd probably never guess there was any land left in this part of town. That same thought would be followed up by a laugh thinking that you could actually afford land in that area. To my surprise I found there are some hidden spots still left and at a great price. I'm not talking about the left overs! Land that is spacious, with hardwoods, and if you didn't know it you'd think you were in the middle of the mountains. One spot in particular that stuck out to me just north of town was some land at 2600 West Wesley Road and 3483 Ridgewood Road. Both lots are over 3 acres, very private, and covered with mature hardwoods. Most want a retreat from the fast past city life but don't want to drive an hour in the car after work to…

20 Acres for $25k an Acre

Tuesday, December 28th, 2010 at 1:08pm. 383 Views, 0 Comments.

I was looking into some property for a friend and I ran across a piece of property that is amazing. 4150 Jim Owens Road in Kennesaw is right in the middle of Cobb county. I didn't realize there were spots like this left, but this is a 20 acre plot with barns, creeks, big oaks, and a house that dates back to 1910.  The house is pretty much a tear down but it leaves a perfect 5 acre spot to build a great home. There is nothing boring about this land.

Check out some of these pictures:

There is a lot of great values in homes and land right now. Price per acre hasn't hit $25k in this part of Cobb county in a while. It is nice to be close to Kennesaw Mountain, great schools, and near Barrett Pkwy with the seclusion and privacy of 20 acres.
