Finding a Home Sweet Home for you and your dog!

Dogs have been man’s best friend for hundreds of years. These days, however, dogs are more than “best friends,” they’re often lovingly referred to as “fur kids” and even “soul mates.” Our criteria in the search for the perfect four-legged friend is usually focused on size, weight, age, and, of course, cuteness factor!

Buckhead Lot Sales Increasing

When the market is down and home prices are low, new home construction takes a dive. Homeowners can often find existing homes to purchase for much less than it would cost to build a comparable home and builders are certainly not going to build a speculative home without a buyer already commited.

So in 2010 there were only 21 lots sold in Buckhead with an average sale price of $584,000 and a lot size of just over one acre. The most expensive lot sold was prime acreage in Tuxedo Park that sold for $3.7 Million.  

When you consider that there are currently 116 lots for sale in Buckhead, this is an anemic rate of sales. However, in the last 60 days we have seen a sharp increase in lot buying activity. Only ten lots in Buckhead have sold so far this…

Forest Hills Homes Popular among Smyrna Buyers

One of the most popular neighborhoods among Smyrna Home Buyers is Forest Hills. With an average sales price just over 200K, these wooded streets are some of the most affordable and esthetically pleasing in all of Smyrna.

In fact, this area reminds me a little of Ridgewood Heights or an early version of Collier Hills in Buckhead.

Most of the homes for sale in Forest Hills are mid-century ranches on great lots. It's about a fifty-fifty mix of homes that have been fully renovated and those that still need some updating, but most have tremendous potential.

Young couples and families tend to love this area of Smyrna because of its proximity to Tolleson Park, Smyrna Market Village and Vinings.
