Buckhead Luxury Home Sales Rising

During 2009 there were 176 homes sold in Buckhead that had sales prices in Excess of $1Million. The average of those 176 homes was $1,630,000 and the most expensive was a fully furnished estate that set a record at 10.5 Million.   With 444 homes currently listed at $1 Million and above, there is a 2.5 year supply of homes available in Buckhead at the current absorption rate. A balanced real estate market would normally have  eight to twelve months of supply, so the statistics are currently skewed in favor of buyers.  Buckhead luxury home sales have spiked 40% in the first 2 months of the year versus 2009 In the first 75 days of 2010 there have been 25 homes in Buckhead sold over the $1 Million price point and there are already 19 more…

What is Vinings Real Estate?

State of Buckhead Speech

Sam Massell was the mayor of Atlanta during  the 1970's and has been known for decades as the "Unofficial Mayor Of Buckhead". As a resident of Buckhead and the president of the Buckhead Coalition, Sam is a figure operating in they grey area of non-government public interest.  His position, or lack thereof has always impressed and interested me and his success in representing the interests of Buckhead are admirable. Sam has been quoted by the AJC as saying: "If we had a public cemetery, I’d stay here forever".
