At the time it opened for the '96/'97 school year, Woodstock High School was the largest high school facility in the Southeast and remains one of the largest in the country. With 100 acres and a 400,000 square-foot facility built to accommodate up to 3000 students, the home of the Woodstock Wolverines has room to grow along with the City of Woodstock. With an Achievement Score of 97% and 73% of its students exceeding state standards, Woodstock High School can boast more than impressive facilities.

Etowah High School's dedication to academic excellence is evidenced by an Achievement Score of 97%, with 73% of students exceeding state standards for 2005. The Etowah Foundation, a non-profit organization, was recently founded to promote academic growth and improve the school's facilities. Etowah High School has many extra-curricular activities, such as an ROTC program, a theatre club, Future Business Leaders, and a full sports program. Etowah High School is committed to developing its students to their full potential in and out of the classroom.

Located in Towne Lake, Woodstock Middle School shares a campus with Woodstock High School. The Home of the Woodstock Wolves opened in 1996 in response to Cherokee County’s population growth. The students are grouped into five teams of 120 students, each led by a team of teachers. Just a sampling of extracurricular activities and programs available to students includes cheerleading, Step Team, intramurals, and even a TV production program!

ET Booth Middle School, the Home of the Falcons, is located just a few miles from historic downtown Woodstock. The school's motto is, "with respect and responsibility comes freedom." This is evidence of the school's emphasis on fully preparing their middle school students for the responsibilities of high school. Over 90% of the parents who responded to a 2005 survey believed that their student was learning to read and comprehend on or above grade level. As well, over 52% of ET Booth's students exceeded standards set by the state.

Chapman Intermediate School was established as a solution to the overcrowded elementary schools in southwest Cherokee County by transitioning the 5th and 6th grades into a separate school. The grades are separated into teams or "island communities," each led by three to five teachers. The student body is very diverse, drawing from three feeder schools, but the students and teachers strive successfully to build new relationships and communities in the Home of the Chapman Cyclones.

In 2002, Bascomb Elementary School was listed as a Georgia School of Excellence. Their commitment to academic excellence continues: in 2005, over 98% of students in all grades met or exceeded the state standards for reading. Overall, the Bascomb Bobcats earned a 95% Achievement Score in 2005. The Media Center and PTA team together to sponsor the Authors & Illustrators in the School program, working to encourage reading and creativity among students.

Arnold Mill Elementary was built in 1996 in response to the increasing growth of Woodstock and greater Cherokee County. The school facilities include a "Family Living Center" with a washer, dryer, stove, and refrigerator, making it the ideal location for many creative class projects. Other programs unique to Arnold Mill Elementary include a Garden Club, a school store run by the 6th grade, and a news program on a closed circuit TV! With 55 teachers on staff, the student-teacher ratio is 17:1. The staff and faculty at Arnold Mill Elementary are dedicated to developing their students into lifelong learners.

The Carmel Colts moved to a new location in 2000. The school is on the forefront of implementing the newest teaching methods and programs. As well, Carmel Elementary is the special education center for Cherokee County. As proof of the teachers' dedication, the school exceeded standards set by the state in every grade level in 2005! Carmel Elementary was also recently awarded the Learn and Serve Grant.

Welcome to the home of the Boston Bears! This school is for K-4th grade, with two PreK classes for special needs students. Located in Woodstock, Georgia, Boston Elementary was recently named a 2005 Title I Distinguished School. Boston Elementary earned a 90% Achievement Score from the state in 2005.

Woodstock Elementary was the first school in the City of Woodstock. In 2004, the school moved from its long-time home on Main Street in downtown Woodstock to a new location, just blocks away. Woodstock Elementary now has room to grown, keeping a student-teacher ratio of 16:1.

Atlanta Magazine recently ranked Mountain Road Elementary as the #1 Elementary School in Cherokee County. Cherokee Christian Schools has been dedicated to Christ-centered academic excellence for over 20 years. The school is blessed with a 40,000+ square-foot facility, offering a separate wing for the high school, large classrooms, a full library, media center, gymnasium, and auditorium. With a low student-teacher ratio of 13:1, the teachers provide students with close attention. Test scores far surpassing the state and national norms evidence the quality of education at Cherokee Christian. CCS’s students score in the 90th percentile, while the national average is close to the 50th percentile.

Of the highly qualified faculty, 23% hold a master’s degree. Of the graduating class of 2005, 14% earned above a 1300 on the SAT with an average score of 1130, well above the state average.
