Poncey-Highlands is an intown neighborhood located on the east side of Atlanta, very close to the heart of downtown. To be exact, the neighborhood is just south of Virginia-Highland, west of Little Five Points, east of Old Fourth Ward and Midtown, and north of Inman Park. Poncey-Highlands got its name because of its close proximity to the intersection of Ponce De Leon and North Highland Avenues.
Poncey-Highlands was established between 1905 and 1930, and today is populated with about 1,800 people. Homes in Poncey-Highlands are primarily made up of craftsman styles and charming bungalows. Many of the homes in the neighborhood are on hilly streets and have very large porches where residents can see the downtown skyline.
