Kennesaw Neighborhoods
The City of Kennesaw was incorporated in 1887. The neighborhoods that are located in the City of Kennesaw are served by the Kennesaw Police Department while fire services are provided by Cobb County Fire Department. The City does provide garbage pick-up services, as well as other services.
Some of the neighborhoods are located close to the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield, at which the Battle of Kennesaw was fought. Some of the land around the battlefield site has been developed into beautiful luxury subdivisions; however, you can still feel what it was like during the Civil War when you walk the dozens of trails that cut over and around the small mountain.
The neighborhoods and subdivisions in Kennesaw are part of the Cobb County School District. There are a number of public elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as some private schools in and around the neighborhoods. There are many neighborhoods located in Kennesaw. Bristol Woods: This neighborhood is close to Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, one of the many Civil War battlefield sites located in Georgia. There is also one golf course located in this neighborhood.
